Road widening project begins in Texarkana | Transportation

Texas highway crews will begin a 15 month-long project to help ease traffic flow along Moores Lane (FM 2240) in Texarkana.

Work began on Monday, September 24 to add a continuous left-turn lane to the road. TxTOD said the road widening project will run from Richmond Road (FM 559) to Summerhill Road (FM 1397).

“This is going to be a very congested and busy work area,” said Kenny Icenhower, area engineer for TxDOT in Texarkana. “Anyone traveling through the work zone should use extra precaution and plan for delays.”
