Courts in Texarkana TX, AR offering amnesty for outstanding warrants

If you have an outstanding warrant in Texarkana, then you might be interested in an amnesty program offered by the municipal courts on both the Texas and Arkansas sides of the city.

The program allows those with outstanding warrants to pay the warrant, in full, without being arrested.

Officials with the Texarkana, TX city court say they have hundreds of unpaid warrants in the city dating back to 2006.

"There are thousands of dollars out in terms of unpaid warrants. These are Class C misdemeanor warrants, primarily speeding violations and other misdemeanor offenses," says David Orr.

You can pay for the warrant with cash, a money order, or a Master Card debit card. The city will accept payment between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Texas Pay Fine window. That's located on the first floor of the Bi-State Justice Building on North State Line.

Texarkana, TX will offer its amnesty program until February 15. To inquire about a warrant (Class C misdemeanor) with Texarkana, Texas Municipal Court, please call (903) 798-3009, 798-3790 or 798-3013, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

The amnesty program in Texarkana, AR, is for people who have warrants out from the Texarkana, AR District Court. The court will waive the warrant fee and jail time from people who appear in person at the Bi-State Justice Building to pay their fines.

“These individuals have had their driving privilege suspended and clearing these fines will also enable them to regain a valid driver’s license,” said Texarkana, AR District Judge Wren Autrey.

The amnesty period for Texarkana, AR is through March 28. For further information you may contact the District Court Clerk’s office at 903-798-3017, the Probation Department at 903-798-3241, or the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department’s Warrant Officer at 903- 798-3130.
