The Texarkana Texas Police Department is investigating the vandalism of an ATM machine located in the 4400 block of Texas Boulevard. The vandalism occurred overnight between Feb. 13 and Feb. 14.

If you have an outstanding warrant in Texarkana, then you might be interested in an amnesty program offered by the municipal courts on both the Texas and Arkansas sides of the city.
The program allows those with outstanding warrants to pay the warrant, in full, without being arrested.
Officials with the Texarkana, TX city court say they have hundreds of unpaid warrants in the city dating back to 2006.
Texarkana, Arkansas Police can spend more time looking for drunk drivers thanks to a recently received federal grant.The department got a traffic safety grant for $163,000 for DWI traffic enforcement. Half the grant comes from the government. The other half comes from "in kind" matching funds.
Texarkana began receiving this grant in 1991. This funding comes from the National Highway Traffic Administration (NTSHA) though the Arkansas Highway Traffic Administration administered by the Arkansas State Police Alcohol Safety Program.

A rollover accident claimed the life of one this morning in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The driver was eastbound on Highway 82 near Rondo Road when the maroon SUV veered off the roadway. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll several times.
The SUV was the only vehicle involved in the accident. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department announced today that they will conduct extra patrols March 9-18 and April 13-22. They will be on the lookout for impaired drivers, especially young adults and teens that choose to drink and drive.
Bowie County detectives have arrested three men in connection with a New Year's Eve mini crime spree.
The sheriff's office says on New Year's Eve, a cutting torch was to break into the Longhorn County Store in Simms, which was then burglarized. The store's security camera showed three suspects entered the store.
