Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter sets Thanksgiving meal date | Community Spirit

The Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter will serve a community meal at 11 a.m. on Nov. 22. Traditional fare, including turkey, ham and stuffing, will be served. The shelter anticipates approximately 225 people will come to eat on the holiday.

“For many, this is the only way they will be able to eat a traditional holiday meal. It is our goal to give them a warm meal and a happy holiday on Thanksgiving,” said Jennifer Laurent, Shelter executive director.

Those who wish to help may participate by coming that morning to serve, by bringing food (cooked or uncooked) anytime until the morning of Thanksgiving or by making financial contributions. Food needed includes hams, side dishes, rolls and desserts.
